Description+
A tall column of wood with a wide shade tipped over it like a cap.
The column is solid acacia, shaped in one long taper and finished smooth in espresso brown, black or white, so it reads as a single piece from the floor to the shade. Above it sits a wide linen cone that sends the light down in a broad pool and keeps the bulb out of sight. The shape comes from the mid-century floor lamp, when a tapered column and a cone were all a lamp needed.
Put it beside the armchair where the evening paper gets read, or in the corner the ceiling light never quite reaches.

Wood Cleaning & Dusting
Wipe weekly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a barely damp cloth — wring it fully so it feels almost dry. Wipe with the grain, never across it, then dry immediately. Avoid all chemical cleaners, sprays, alcohol, or bleach.
Sunlight & Heat Protection
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight — UV rays fade and dry out wood over time. Keep away from direct heating vents, radiators, and fireplaces. Sudden temperature changes cause cracking; gradual seasonal movement is normal and harmless.
Moisture & Humidity
Keep away from open windows during rain, bathrooms, or kitchen steam. If the room becomes noticeably humid, run a dehumidifier. Wipe any condensation immediately. Indoor use only — do not place outdoors or in exposed areas.
Electrical Safety
Always switch off and allow the bulb to cool before cleaning or replacing. Never exceed the maximum wattage printed on the label. Use only the recommended socket type. Do not modify the wiring. Keep away from water and moisture to protect electrical components.
