Warranty
A piece of solid wood, shaped by hand, should outlast the person who made it. We stand behind that sentence for as long as you own the piece — and this page states exactly what that means.
1.The lifetime guarantee — solid wood & craftsmanship
For as long as you own your piece, we guarantee the solid wood and the craftsmanship: the structure, the joinery, the turning, the making. If a defect in material or workmanship ever appears — a joint that fails, a structural fault, work that was not to our standard — we repair it, however many years have passed since it left the atelier.
2.One year — electrical components
The electrical components of your piece — wiring, lamp holders, switches and fittings — are warranted for one year from delivery. If a component fails in normal use within that year, we repair or replace it. Bulbs are consumables and are not covered.
3.What we do — repair first
Ours is a repair-first house: the same hands that make our pieces restore them. Under this warranty, the repair itself is carried out at no charge. You cover the shipping of the piece to our atelier; we assess it, restore it, and dispatch it back to you. Where a fault cannot be repaired, we replace the piece or the component.
4.What is not covered
- Damage from misuse, accident, impact, water or heat exposure, or improper installation.
- Modifications or repairs attempted outside our atelier.
- Bulbs and other consumables.
- The ordinary, graceful wear of a finish over years of use — care guidance is in our Care Guide.
- Intensive commercial use — separate written terms apply to trade and hospitality installations, agreed through our Trade programme.
5.The nature of solid wood
Solid wood is a living material. Its tone deepens with light and time; its grain and figure are unique to each piece; and it breathes minutely with the seasons. These are the marks of the real thing — they are character, not defects, and they sit outside this warranty precisely because nothing is wrong. A genuine defect in material or workmanship is always ours to fix.
6.Transit damage
Damage in delivery is handled under our Returns & Exchanges policy: tell us within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs and where possible an unboxing video and the delivery box, and we resolve it at no cost to you.
7.How to make a claim
Write to support@lampandglow.com or message +92 302 0521000 on WhatsApp with your order number and photographs or a short video of the issue. We assess it quickly, confirm the resolution, and give you the shipping instructions. From there, it is in the makers’ hands.
8.Who provides this warranty
This warranty is provided by the Lamp & Glow company responsible for your order, as set out in clause 1 of our Terms & Conditions. It is in addition to — and never in place of — the statutory rights you hold under the consumer law of your country of residence.
