Description+
A shallow dish raised on a tapering stem, holding a small field of flames.
The shape is the tazza, the footed serving dish of Renaissance Italy that carried fruit and sweets to the middle of the table. This one is built in wood and solid iron, finished in matte black, and set with tealights, so the light sits level with the glasses.
It suits a long dinner table or a console in a dark room, where the black body disappears and only the ring of flames stays in view.

Wood Cleaning & Dusting
Wipe weekly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a barely damp cloth — wring it fully so it feels almost dry. Wipe with the grain, never across it, then dry immediately. Avoid all chemical cleaners, sprays, alcohol, or bleach.
Sunlight & Heat Protection
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight — UV rays fade and dry out wood over time. Keep away from direct heating vents, radiators, and fireplaces. Sudden temperature changes cause cracking; gradual seasonal movement is normal and harmless.
Candle Holder Safety
Never leave a lit candle unattended. Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep away from draughts, curtains, and flammable materials. Trim wick to 5mm before each use. Do not allow candle to burn to the base — extinguish when 1cm of wax remains.
Candle Holder Cleaning
Remove wax drips by placing the holder in the freezer for 30 minutes — wax contracts and pops off cleanly. For stubborn residue, pour boiling water carefully and let it melt. Wipe the wood exterior with a dry cloth only — avoid soaking the base.
