Description+
Three small blocks of teak, each with a single job.
Teak was the wood of Danish modern design in the 1950s, when furniture makers in Copenhagen chose it for its warm colour and dense, calm surface. These holders are cut from the same wood and kept plain, with softened edges and no ornament, each shaped to hold its candle upright.
Grouped at the end of a dining table or on a bathroom shelf, they keep the flames low, below the line of conversation.

Care+
Wood Cleaning & Dusting
Wipe weekly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a barely damp cloth — wring it fully so it feels almost dry. Wipe with the grain, never across it, then dry immediately. Avoid all chemical cleaners, sprays, alcohol, or bleach.
Sunlight & Heat Protection
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight — UV rays fade and dry out wood over time. Keep away from direct heating vents, radiators, and fireplaces. Sudden temperature changes cause cracking; gradual seasonal movement is normal and harmless.
Candle Holder Safety
Never leave a lit candle unattended. Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep away from draughts, curtains, and flammable materials. Trim wick to 5mm before each use. Do not allow candle to burn to the base — extinguish when 1cm of wax remains.
Candle Holder Cleaning
Remove wax drips by placing the holder in the freezer for 30 minutes — wax contracts and pops off cleanly. For stubborn residue, pour boiling water carefully and let it melt. Wipe the wood exterior with a dry cloth only — avoid soaking the base.
