Description+
A low drum of rope and iron, hung on a rope of its own.
The wrapping is the one sailors put on fenders and ship’s rails, coil after coil of hemp around a hard core. Here the core is a black iron ring, 40 cm across and open underneath, so the bulb sends its light down through the grille while a warm band shows through the rope at the sides.
It hangs over a small dining table, a reading chair or a kitchen corner, and the rope drop adjusts up to a metre.
