Description+
A shape older than electric light.
These are baluster candlesticks: a stepped foot and a full knop, then a stem that narrows up to the cup. The profile comes from the brass sticks that stood on English tables in the early 1700s, and behind those, the turned stair balusters of Renaissance Italy. Ours are solid acacia, tinted rather than painted so the wood shows through, in Polished Caramel or Matte Mocha.
Two of them in the middle of a table are still the oldest way of saying the meal will take its time. Wax tapers or flameless, either fits.

Wood Cleaning & Dusting
Wipe weekly with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a barely damp cloth — wring it fully so it feels almost dry. Wipe with the grain, never across it, then dry immediately. Avoid all chemical cleaners, sprays, alcohol, or bleach.
Sunlight & Heat Protection
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight — UV rays fade and dry out wood over time. Keep away from direct heating vents, radiators, and fireplaces. Sudden temperature changes cause cracking; gradual seasonal movement is normal and harmless.
Candle Holder Safety
Never leave a lit candle unattended. Place on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Keep away from draughts, curtains, and flammable materials. Trim wick to 5mm before each use. Do not allow candle to burn to the base — extinguish when 1cm of wax remains.
Candle Holder Cleaning
Remove wax drips by placing the holder in the freezer for 30 minutes — wax contracts and pops off cleanly. For stubborn residue, pour boiling water carefully and let it melt. Wipe the wood exterior with a dry cloth only — avoid soaking the base.
