The Ascent is a city with everything taken away except the rise. A cluster of stepped towers stands in one unbroken bone-white — no grain to read, no ornament to follow — so all that is left is form, edge and shadow. By day, it holds a room quietly, like a sculpture. After dark, the filament turns the gaps between the towers into a warm canyon of light.
Underneath the finish is solid beech — the cabinetmaker's wood for painted work, chosen because its grain is so tight and even that lacquer sits on it like glass. Each tower is cut, sanded and finished individually, piece by piece, before the cluster is ever assembled — which is why every face reads clean and every step keeps its crisp line. The white itself is deliberate: not a gallery white that turns cold at night, but a bone-white with the faintest warmth in it, made to sit well beside the filament's glow.
The heart is the same as our Apex — a long spiral filament hanging in the center, an inline dimmer on a braided cord, and the exact bulb the piece was designed around in the box, matched to your country's voltage. Where The Apex was built for rooms of walnut and leather, The Ascent is for the bright ones — white walls, morning light, clean lines. Thirty pieces make up this first edition. Yours arrives numbered and signed beneath the base.
